Goats are lots of fun and a joy to raise, but they are a livestock animal and require specialized care. Please take the time to research goat care before beginning your herd. We are happy to help guide and recommend sources as you determine if goat ownership is for you.
Goat Sales & Reservation Policy
We maintain a reservation list for kids. There is no fee to be on the list, just email us with your breeding choice, and contact information. A Deposit is due once the chosen kid is born. If you change your mind, we simply move to the next person on the list. Kids are available for pickup between 8 and 12 weeks of age. If the buyers are experienced, they may be released earlier on the bottle.
Payment
Deposits for kids and adults are half of the purchase price of the goat. If you back out of the purchase for any reason the deposit is non-refundable, but if something changes and we need to cancel the sale then we shall refund your full deposit amount. Full payment will be required before the animal leaves the property. Deposits and final payment may be in cash, check, Venmo or Paypal, but checks must clear the bank before the goat leaves.
Any cost for transportation fees, additional licensed veterinarian inspections (including by not limited to health certificates for transport across state lines, crates needed for transport, etc.), boarding costs, or other fees requested by the purchaser will need to be paid in full at time of final payment.
Our price includes a healthy goat and the following:
Kids will receive all tattooing, disbudding, and immunizations needed for their age before leaving.
Adults will be up to date on all immunizations and tattooed.
Registered Kids and Adults will come with their ADGA registration paperwork or the confirmation paperwork that registration is being processed and will be mailed from ADGA to the new owner.
All buck kids must be DNA tested to register their offspring. We can do DNA testing for an additional fee.
Biosecurity
We test our herd (adult does and bucks) for CAE, CL, and Johnnes. Because we are working hard to maintain a healthy herd, we have implemented the following biosecurity measures: 1) goats sold and removed from the farm may not return, 2) we no longer accept visitors to the farm. Goats that leave our farm are deemed to be in good health and our farm cannot be held responsible for health related issues that may result from moving stresses or management implemented once at their new farms.
